Tumble Dryers
- Read all instructions before using the tumbler.
- Do not dry articles that have been previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or spotted with gasoline, dry cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances as they give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
- Do not allow children on or in the tumbler. This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not reach into the tumbler if the cylinder is revolving.
- To reduce the risk of fire, DO NOT DRY plastics or articles containing foam rubber or similarly textured rubberlike materials.
- Always clean the lint filter daily.
- Do not put articles soiled with vegetable or cooking oil in the tumbler, as these oils may not be removed during washing. Due to the remaining oil, the fabric may catch on fire by itself.
- To reduce the risk of fire, DO NOT put clothes which have traces of any flammable substances such as machine oil, flammable chemicals, thinner, etc. or anything containing wax or chemicals such as in mops and cleaning cloths, or anything dry-cleaned at home with dry-cleaning solvent in the tumbler.
- Use the tumbler only for its intended purpose, drying fabrics.
- Remove laundry immediately after tumbler stops.
- DO NOT operate the tumbler if it is smoking, grinding, or has missing or broken parts.
Washer-Extractors
- Read all instructions before using the washer.
- Do not wash textiles that have been previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or spotted with gasoline, kerosene, waxes, cooking oils, dry-cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances as they give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
- Do not add gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances to the wash water. These substances give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
- Do not allow children to play on or in the washer. Close supervision of children is necessary when the washer is used near children. This is a safety rule for all appliances.
- Do not reach into the washer if the wash drum is moving.
- To reduce the risk of an electric shock or fire, DO NOT use an extension cord or an adapter to connect the washer to the electrical power source.
- Use washer only for its intended purpose, washing textiles.
- To reduce the risk of fire, textiles which have traces of any flammable substances such as vegetable oil, cooking oil, machine oil, flammable chemicals, thinner, etc. or anything containing wax or chemicals such as in mops and cleaning cloths, must not be put into the washer. These flammable substances may cause the fabric to catch on fire by itself.

- Loading door MUST BE CLOSED any time the washer is to fill, tumble or spin. DO NOT bypass the loading door switch by permitting the washer to operate with the loading door open.

- Do not reach into the washer if the washtub or agitator is moving.
- Use your washer only for its intended purpose, washing clothes.

Flatwork Finishers
- Read all instructions before using the finisher.
- Do not iron(finish) articles that have been previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or spotted with gasoline, dry cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances as they give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
- Do not allow children to play on or around the finisher. Close supervision of children is necessary when the finisher is used near children. This is a safety rule for all appliances.
- Check the operation of the safety finger guard at the beginning of every shift. Operating the safety guard should stop the finisher immediately. Do not operate the finisher until the safety finger guard is repaired and working properly. Be sure that all other safety features, including guards and panels, are in place before operating the finisher.
- Never try to remove, adjust, or straighten jammed or misfed linen while the finisher is running. Attempting to clear the jammed linen item can result in the user being caught in the linen and pulled into the finisher. If something is jammed in the finisher, turn off the power before attempting to correct the problem. Avoid contact with heated parts.
- Protect yourself and fellow workers by making sure that everyone follows all the rules. Read and follow all safety labels and warnings. Learn all aspects of the equipment. Do not come close to moving or heated parts. Do not wear loose clothing, sweaters, jewelry, or neck ties when near the finisher.
